Slow Wave was nominated for a 2008 Ignatz award (sort of like the Sundance awards, but for comics). Jesse's self-published comic Bluefuzz the Hero was also nominated for an Ignatz, as was tour-mate Trevor Alixopulos' graphic novel The Hot Breath of War. Bluefuzz won!.
